The initial post. Phew... I'm sure that most bloggers will have been through this experience; the starting point-thinking 'what shall I write?'...which is exactly where I am right now... sat on my bedroom floor, cat at the side of me, pondering. Hhhmmmmmm.

So I shall start with why I have decided to begin a blog.

Blogs have made up a large quantity of my reading time for the past few years, I can quite happily sit, read and become lost in blogs about beautiful places, scrumptious food, beauty products, reviews, hints and tips... the list is endless. But amongst my enjoyment I have always had a niggly green eyed monster in the back of my mind wishing that I too had a blog.

My life has been pretty hectic the past few years so I have never made the time to actually sit down and think about where to begin with a blog- until now.

My most special friend recently kindly gave me a plaque which quotes something which I think is definitely a notion to live by, and that is;

'WHATEVER you want to do, do it, there are only so many tomorrows.'

My main reason for wishing for a blog is due to the nature of life. People always say, 'the older you become the faster time flies' and it's true! You blink and before you know it months have gone by! Recent events in my life have demonstrated to me just how precious each moment of our lives is and how we must make the most of it but the hectic, fast paced nature of modern day life doesn't lend itself too much to savouring moments. This is where blogs come in. To me blogs provide people with a platform to sit with a laptop and type away, appreciate and reflect upon what is important to them and I imagine that in the future they will look back and read their old blog posts and reflect upon themselves as a person and how far they have come. In a world where we have the opportunity to own anything and everything we want, go anywhere we want, do almost anything we want, to me, to have a digital life map en capturing what is important to us as individuals, and having the ability to share it with others is wonderful. And all of our days should be full of wonder.

So... here I am, my darling friend you have inspired me, to take my chatterbox nature to the Internet, get rid of my green eyed monster and BLOG. Wish me luck!
